We are the
Florida Cheer and
Dance Association. FCDA serves thousands of competitive
cheerleaders, dancers,
coaches and parents!  Our
goal is to offer a fun, positive, and exciting competition environment. Our
championships take place in
several regions throughout
Florida each season. Qualified teams, groups, and individuals
can also compete at 2 FCDA Florida State Championships, one for schools and
the other for All-stars,
recreational teams, and Studios. The competition series is open to all. The season ends with "The Open" International Championship.
The Florida State Championships are exclusively for Florida's
dancers, cheerleaders,
coaches, instructors, and parents. The winners have bragging rights to
being “The Best In Florida”, and get their names engraved
on the Sunshine Cup Trophy along with becoming a part of
Florida’s cheerleading and dance history. FCDA also offers cheer and dance
camps, clinics, specialized instruction, safety
certifications, coaching clinics, and discount gym equipment for those in
need. "We want everyone to feel
welcome and have fun at our Florida events and competitions. Including
Coaches, Parents and Competitors." says President, Wally Chernoch, "We
want you to know that every team is just as important as the next. We
want to encourage these athletes to fulfill their dreams in a clean and
positive environment."
